Since its founding in 1996 by Madjid Khaladj, the College of Tombak in Paris, France, has become one of Europe’s most important centers for the study of the classical percussion music of Iran. Its activities include seminars, master classes, private and group instruction and public recitals.

Madjid Khaladj has been a teacher at the Music Academy of Basel for over 13 years. He teaches at the Conservatory (Studio für Musik und Kulturen).
